Retirement for Kay Boersma

Kay Boersma (Ottawa Reformed Church) has been part of Love I.N.C. for a very long time.  Her time and dedication to the food pantry and Love I.N.C.'s clients are unfathomable.  On Tuesday, August 13 we said "Thank You" to Kay with a special morning coffee break for her retirement party.  Over coffee and treats, Kay shared how many years she has been working for Love and how she plans to spend her "retirement."  Kay will be greatly missed but we look forward to seeing her with the Quilting Ladies on Wednesdays.  Thank you Kay for all your commitment to Love I.N.C.

Volunteer Groups build ramps for Local Homes

Two groups of men have help two Love I.N.C. clients with ramps for their Allendale homes.  One group, Brett Moelker, Wes Knoper, and Jason Weaver built a ramp for a home on 72nd.

The second group, Rick Westerling and R.J. Rotman, built a ramp for a client's home on Mountain Ash.  Below is an exert from the thank-you letter from the client:

Dear Love I.N.C.

. . . . I'm no longer restricted to my house.  What a pleasure it was to get outside and visit with my neighbors and admire God's work in our world.

The workers who built my ramp did an outstanding job.  All my neighbors raved about how good it looked and how easy it was for me to get in and out of my house.  I want to thank Rich and R.J. for the excellent workmanship they did.

Again I want to thank Love I.N.C. . . . . This is like a miracle for me.

We are very thankful and grateful for these gentlemen who built the ramps and helped clients to have an easier time to get out of their homes.
