Love I.N.C. continues our mission each day. Each week an individual or a family from Allendale walks through Love I.N.C.'s doors hoping for assistance for their needs. The Love I.N.C. staff is quick to reassure each person that we are here to help them.
Thank you to the many supporting churches, individuals and businesses who continue to help us with our mission to meet the needs of so many during these tough economic times and job loss.

L. is a recovering addict who was recently paroled from prison. He is new to the area and was unsure where to begin to receive assistance with a much needed medication. The prison had given him a small supply at the time of his release, but L. needed to find a doctor to write a new prescription. L. also needed help paying for the prescriptions once they were filled. He called Love I.N.C. for assistance. After doing some checking, Love I.N.C. was able to make a referral to a local physician who could see L. for a reduced price. Love I.N.C. coordinated with a local pharmacy for a one-month supply of the medications L. needed. Love I.N.C. is also providing L. with personal care items from the food pantry. L. has been diligent about looking for work and continuing follow-up care for his addictions. He hopes his good work history and marketable skills will help him find a job soon. L. is optimistic about his future. His relationship with God is helping to put his past behind him. Each week when we receive L.’s request for personal care items, he thanks us “for all your help in my time of need.” ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ D. is a divorced woman who came to Love I.N.C. because she needed help with a utility bill. D. is employed but her work hours decreased to part-time this summer. Her hours will increase back to full time at the end of August. Until then, things are very tight. D. had been on a budget plan with her utility company but missed a payment because of juggling other bills. This resulted in a shut-off notice. Before D. came to Love I.N.C., she had already been in touch with another agency and they were able to provides some funds toward the bill. D. was hoping we could partner with the agency and get the bill completely paid. D. will continue to struggle over the next few months until her job hours increase. It will be hard for her to for pay basic living expenses. Love I.N.C. worked with the other agency D. had visited and paid the utility bill. To help D. put all her earnings toward her rent and other utility bills, Love I.N.C. is also provided food from the Food Pantry and gasoline vouchers to help her get to and from her job. D. was overwhelmed by what Love I.N.C. had to offer her, and left her appointment feeling very thankful and very relieved.
